Nervous about the dentist? You’re not alone. At Endicott Dental, we tailor sedation to your comfort level—whether you need a little help taking the edge off or deeper relaxation during longer procedures. Expect a trained team, modern monitoring, and a calm, judgment-free experience from start to finish.
Sedation dentistry uses safe, proven medications to help you relax during care. You’re never “on your own”—your dentist and clinical team are with you the entire time, and your breathing, heart rate, and oxygen levels are tracked with hospital-grade equipment. Options range from nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for light calming to oral or IV medications for deeper relaxation. We’ll recommend the best fit based on your health history, anxiety level, and the treatment you’re having.

Request An AppointmentExperience, safety, and compassion—without the clinical jargon.
Yes—when administered and monitored properly. We review your medical history, medications, and allergies at your consult. During treatment we track oxygen saturation, heart rate, and blood pressure continuously. Doses are tailored to you and tapered as needed for a smooth recovery.
It depends on your anxiety level, procedure length, and health history. Mild anxiety/short visits often = nitrous. Moderate anxiety/longer care = oral sedation. Complex cases or multi-procedure appointments may benefit from IV sedation. We’ll decide together after your evaluation.
We always use local anesthesia for comfort, regardless of sedation type. With nitrous, you’re relaxed and aware. With oral/IV sedation, many patients remember little and report that time passes quickly.
You can drive after nitrous once you feel normal. For oral or IV sedation, you’ll need a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you for a few hours.
Coverage varies by plan and procedure. Some policies cover nitrous for specific treatments; others consider sedation elective. We’ll check benefits in advance and provide clear estimates, plus flexible payment options.
