COVID-19 UPDATE– May 1, 2020

As you may already know, dental offices in the state of Oklahoma have been cleared to resume all regular and elective dental treatment beginning on May 1, 2020. I want to assure you that the safety of our patients and team is my top priority in the reopening of our practice. As always, our office will continue to comply and follow strictly the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry, the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA).

To maintain a healthy environment for all, we have put the following measures in place and ask that you help us at this time by abiding by our guidelines:

-Pre-appointment wellness- Before your appointment, you will be receiving a phone call from our office. At that time, you will be asked a few questions about the current condition of your health. If prior to your appointment, you feel that you aren’t well or have been exposed to anyone who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please do not hesitate to call us and reschedule your appointment. Upon arrival for your appointment, you will be asked a series of wellness questions to verify you are healthy enough for your visit.

-Curbside Check-in- During this time, we will not be utilizing our waiting room so that we can maintain social distancing guidelines. Please simply call our office when you arrive and we will let you know when your room has been sanitized and is ready for you to enter. You will be greeted in the front and taken directly back to your treatment room. We do ask that each patient comes alone to their appointment, with the exception of any minor accompanied by one adult. If there are others in your party, we ask that they remain in your vehicle for the duration of your appointment. We will be asking everyone to wear a mask when they are not having treatment done, per CDC guidelines. If you do not have access to a mask, please let us know.

-Clinical Information- As always, we will be maintaining the highest standards for sterilization and cleanliness in our office. During this time, we will be taking extra measures for our health and wellness. You will notice that doorways will be open, extra Personal Protective Equipment will be worn by all staff members, and clinicians will be including extra measures during treatment of patients to ensure best practices for everyone’s safety and health. All patients will have their temperature taken and asked to use hand sanitizer upon arrival. Clinicians will also be asking all patients to rinse with pre-procedural rinse prior to beginning treatment. During this time, we are unable to offer blankets during appointments, so you may want to bring your own sweater or jacket for your comfort. We will be keeping the office cooler due to the amount of PPE we will be wearing.
